The Validity of Stealth
Does the same apply as multiple sizes and roles of drones take to the sky?

Back in the 80's and 90's a great deal was made of "non acoustic ASW" techniques that the Soviets were developing and employing.
That didn't stop the USN from taking advantage of "as quiet as we can be" since you always want to make your opponent's job more difficult.
So no, getting noisy isn't the answer. That makes the opponent's job easier.
Find ways to counter the counter ... the never ending move and counter move continues.
@ falcon: yes, mines are still effective.

I'd guess that would have to be done carefully, so that echoes from the noise created don't reflect off the 'primary asset' ?

Indeed, but depends on the type of noise, and serves to further complicate the detection task, not least by confusing detection assets as to where to look.

"Around the most protected areas, like the Taiwan Strait, Chinese forces are likely to deploy mines as well."
its a big place the Strait at least 150 x 400 km = a shed load of mines - and of course mines cut two ways
