100 Years of Air to Air Refuelling

This year marks a century of AAR and it was reflected at RIAT over fortnight ago so here are my photos from (wet and hot three days) the line up, such as first appearance of the Metrea Boeing Kc-135 (ex Republic of Singapore Air Force), Royal Saudi Air Force A330MRTT and NATo Multi National MRTT A330MRTT etc.












And of course welcoming of Finland to NATO entailed our Voyager simulating AAR with Finnish Boeing F/A-18C Hornet display team.

It may be of interest to know that the house where Cobham was born, in South London, has a blue plaque on it marking his childhood home and achievements in AAR.
