. . . Has passed on.
Up until his last breath, doing what he loved best - talking Blackbird.

I read his book once when I borrowed it from a public library in Cheshire many years ago. Then when I wanted a copy, I couldn't believe the price. I don't suppose his passing will bring the price down.

Sorry to hear this. The book he wrote and published is famous both for its great photos and stories and more recently for the pricing, but I still want one. We will certainly remember him.

I have a copy I haven’t opened in over 30 years, bought in 1992, just checked the price on the dust cover - £19.95

Sensible offer accepted.

An incredible survivor and a true pioneering aviator.

I urge anyone who does not know his full story to read up on it!!

You were an inspiration Sir and I am glad that our world has benefited from the fact that you, and your like, were not prepared to accept "No" for an answer.

Buy the book, it’s only money! He gave me my A-10 initial check at DM in 1979.

RIP, nickel on the grass…

I was in awe at his story, and totally immersed in his online videos.
I wish him blue skies but doubt a fair tail wind will make much difference.

Rest in Peace Sled Driver.

Purchased a second edition of "Sled Driver" when it hit the streets and Brian's talent turned me into a Blackbird nutter, have the flight manual should I get a chance His stories were riveting, particularly the low speed event in the UK. There is a story that his departure from the USAF was the result of an impromptu fly past of a house at Beale, never been able to verify the accuracy.

Brian, thank you for the knowledge imparted, your service and the entertainment.

Another nickel on the grass.

There are many characters in our profession, but Brian's name won't fade away anytime soon. His comeback from his injuries was as inspirational as every story and photo he captured on the sled.
