My ‘super power’ is I know which indefinite article to use before an abbreviation that starts with a ‘vowel sound’.

Oh, there's a PhD (an incredibly boring one) for someone in that argument.

If you must have one, some services are more inclusive - and buying it helps keep historic aircraft flying. (No, I don't own one, before anyone asks)

Why is it Nutloose that so many of your thousands of posts seem to have an anti-officer or anti-aircrew bias? Just wondering, were you bullied at school or just feel inadequate? You shouldn’t, we’ve all played our part, even you, we’re all on the same side and if you claim it’s banter I think you need to recalibrate.

No problem, please read the following links to help you understand.

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/banter

https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dic...english/humour

You have to have some humour in your life mate and never take anything to seriously otherwise we would all end up like erm….… Victor Meldrew, and life is too short to end up like that. I truly hope you do not.

Welcome to the forums BTW.

Just saw a similar situation on other social media. Some chap admitted that he didn’t make the grade to become a policeman so he spends his days criticising the police in general.

Flaw there though Shytorque is I always wanted to be an engineer since the age of about six, it always fascinated me that I could strip things down, see how they worked and put them back together often better than when they left the factory, blueprinting engines etc. At primary school I was encouraged and used to help look after the school swimming pool, by the age of about nine I hade stripped down and fixed a partially seized lawn mower. Flying and indeed driving bores the pants off me, hence I tend to do less that 4,000 miles per year.

Even better skills to have if you are broken down in the middle of nowhere with a driver who hasn’t a clue how his vehicle works

Well obviously there's no concerns about the assembly instructions, but, do they come with a helpful users guide ? (graphics and words)

Sometimes you just have to remind folks of reality.......Warrant Officers know things and drink Coffee and are the subject of the ponderance of "Where's Chief?".
