Blue light
Gentleman Aviator
Got my Blue Light Card in the post today - a mere two weeks after it was sent! Not bad considering the time of year and industrial (in)action.
Haven't tried it yet....... (at home with a stinking cold....)

I found the NHS / GP to be the only organisation that was aware of my service as the RAF provided all my med records to them about 18 months after I left. Every ECG, annual medical, op deployment, incident & accident and every single medication dispensed over my 30 years. The GP surgery seemed very keen to have this proof of service as they get a bit more money for every veteran on their books, plus access to other resources.
Quick update. After a month of correspondence with the Defence Discount help team, the code VETGATEWAY19 has now worked and the website is now showing me as having a card. I will now wait for the card to arrive by post. Although it is promised to arrive within 14 days, I am cognisant of the postal strikes so anticipate that it is likely to take longer.
