Got my Blue Light Card in the post today - a mere two weeks after it was sent! Not bad considering the time of year and industrial (in)action.

Haven't tried it yet....... (at home with a stinking cold....)

I found the NHS / GP to be the only organisation that was aware of my service as the RAF provided all my med records to them about 18 months after I left. Every ECG, annual medical, op deployment, incident & accident and every single medication dispensed over my 30 years. The GP surgery seemed very keen to have this proof of service as they get a bit more money for every veteran on their books, plus access to other resources.

MM, thanks for the update. I applied the code to my application and was thanked for the payment instead of receiving an irritated and repeated demand for it! Definitely an improvement on before. So, a sit on your hands time now with postal strikes and public holidays abounding and not a time for impatience. Nevertheless an unexpected Christmas pressie from my old and benevolent employer (tugs forelock). Gawd bless yer gov, yer a toff and no mistake!
