M346 down

It looks as though an M346 trainer has crashed in Italy during a test flight with the loss of one pilot, with another in bad shape.
My thoughts are with all involved.

The Nice Matin is reporting that the dead pilot is a Brit and the guy in hospital is an Italian.

RIP

This is very worrying news for those of us that know Brits flying M346’s in Italy for Leonardo!

I’m not after any information before it is publicly released but this is just another of those horrible days with a long, agonising wait to find out.

Very sad news, not an easy terrain to end up after an ejection .

OMG.

That guy was right on the spot. There were two inflated chutes visible in that video.

Several sources saying it was Smash...

RIP matey. Gone too soon. The only guy with a 5-letter trigraph on the Harrier Force as I recall!
