I believe his name was Wing Commander Mike Burton. Subsequently retired as an Air Commodore.
His brother was Phil Burton, who retired as a Wing Commander and had a successful career in the Defence Industry.

Oddjob. His orchestration of the dispatch, from Finningley, of it's Station Commander, Gp Capt Miller (who had been diagnosed with a terminal illness), in the most tackiest thing I have experienced in my Royal Air Force and Civilian Career.
