French Army given the go ahead to develop augmented troops

The report, released to the public on Tuesday, considers medical treatments, prosthetics and implants that improve "physical, cognitive, perceptive and psychological capacities," and could allow for location tracking or connectivity with weapons systems and other soldiers.

Hmmm.. That'll do wonders for recruitment.

Grrr

Maybe the Treadstone project (Bourne series) wasn't that far fetched after all..... Now if Matt Damon is seen taking French lessons, watch out!

Having seen on TV a chap who had his London Underground chip embedded in his arm so he could just swipe it over the scanner ( they stopped him because he still needed the actual ticket ) having a chip with a personal weapon coded to it would make sense. Also a bio monitor that could be read by medics etc.
