Me too, only because I look like Uncle Fester without it!

No.1s with a bow tie just looks sh*t.
just looks like 'other ranks' trying to be posh and I say that as a committed 'other rank'.

I think it's great that Rocks feel more comfortable showing their softer side which we all knew they had.
I take it you approve Tashengurt

Agreed, When did that happen? I remember wearing "interim mess dress" (no 4 HD?) as an officer cadet but didn't know that ORs also wore it.

I remember as late as 1980, if you hadn't bought your own Mess Kit, people wore No.1s, white shirt and bow tie to formal Sgts Mess functions.

I think you can see Officer Cadets in this very ensemble in the film High Flight. Mind you they're a trifle more socially distanced in the old movie!

Those two Regiment guys, I don’t think there is or there was an alternative mess dress for lower ranks, don’t stewards where something similar with a white shirt... as for the reaction, good on them, though those are some haircuts.

Yes there has and its much more traditional than the one put out earlier, however everyone in the RAF has had a warning about what they say on social media, so that's all I'm going to say!

Well, that was a couple of minutes of my life I won’t get back, I think I preferred the Rock and the CAS having a lovin.

Merry Xmas everyone. No video, no mick take, no kissing or hand holding- just a genuine message to all and especially those in harms way or away from their families in their duties.
