WANTED RAF Greatcoat XL

Hi,

I'm looking for an RAF Officer's Greatcoat. 46" chest (or thereabouts) / XL. I'm 6' 6".

If anyone has one that fits the bill then let me know!

I wouldn't have thought this would be the place to ask, but have seen similar posts from a few years ago.

Cheers,

Russell_Crowbar

Morning Russell, probably no help whatsoever but towards the end of my career the only place that I could source my flying badge was Newark air museum.
Stores back home no longer stocked them, I suspect that many went as souvenirs or reminders of careers gone by, and it was not that long ago. Best of luck in obtaining one.

If he needs it now, summer will be too late. Hypothermia waits for no man.

My British Warm conversion went the way of a light-fingered scrote from the Officers Mess cloak room at Finningley.

I have a feeling that Nutty wasn't looking for a coat when he stumbled across those pictures....

I have a Black Civil Defence Great Coat from the '50's which cost me 100 quid in the '80's. Heavy as! Roughly same size though so maintain yer strength if you get one.

Looked Brazilian to me, but it's hard to tell from that angle.

I have one that I recently pulled out of the cupboard that I am about to sell. I tried to PM but it didn’t go through due to an error. Drop me a PM with and email address and I can send pictures.

ps. I am Lincolnshire these days.

You wont be able to PM him as his post count is low.

Hi,

Thanks for responding!

Yeah, I can't see an option to message you privately...

My email is [email protected].

I guess me offering my email myself doesn't break rules...

I’ve tried an email to him, hopefully it works, if you click on his name in the dark boxes on the left of the thread it allows you to send him an email.

A few years ago, (maybe 10) if you went to clothing stores at Cranwell they had a whole store room full of them. Maybe worth a call to see.
I gave away my XL about 6 months ago, typical.
