Well if he is reading this, I think it was him that bought me a yard of ale in the Junior Mess bar at Cranwell in 1968. If it was (I think) I thank him for it.

As the initiator of this thread I am delighted to learn that Tony is fit and well. I have also heard from him by email - he is at a loss to understand why he never received my original email, so I think we shall just have to put that down to a glitch in the system. I look forward to seeing his autobiography when it is finished, should be a great read.
