A surprise to see it is cancelled, rather than postponed. This is the major revenue generator for ADS and as it only comes around every 2 years, I'm surprised they've made this decision already. Maybe, they already had enough feedback from key exhibitors that they weren't going to support this year, that made cancellation a slam dunk.

After the last few none of the public would go anyway - nothing to see
I’m not in the least surprised it’s cancelled:
- No one can predict with any confidence when mass gatherings will be permitted (or indeed safe) again.
- The last thing on the civil sector’s mind is new acquisitions.
- The global landscape is already changing as a result of the virus and the geopolitical ripples will probably outlast it by some time. So militaries will probably be more interested in recalibrating strategy than making acquisitions or announcements.
No-brainer.

RIAT cancelled too. Will be an unfortunate big hit for the RAF Charitable Trust. I believe some tickets can be put back to 2021 rather than refunded, so hopefully the impact to the charity can be softened.

I followed the guidelines of SBAC who wanted a tightly timed programme ie no long gaps; always something for the spectators to see.
For 2006, FI decided to employ their own display co-ordinator who had his own ideas of how the display should run. I tried to advise him how I had been doing it but he ignored all my inputs and insisted on doing it his own way; well I 'd only been doing it for 30 odd years for 15 airshows so what did I know?
