Sqn Ldr Bernard Tubbs - Mosquito Navigator
Asking for a friend of a friend, here is his query, cut & pasted:-

In my my post on Guy Gibson earlier today I referred to a mosquito pilot I knew, and a couple of years ago I tried to find out more (anything) about him but with little success. He was well known in the Lloyd's of London insurance market but the internet was strangely silent about him. So - does anyone amongst my friends have access to old military records or databases that might give us his full story?
Bernard Tubbs. I think he was a squadron leader, I know he was an actual Mosquito pilot (I will relate a couple of the stories he told me - if we hit the jackpot!) and he was probably born c. 1920. He also had connections with (the) Leonard Cheshire.

Couple of links already come across and posted on the FB discussion:-

F/O (159.698) Bernard Henry TUBBS DFM (nav.) RAFVR

Thanks in advance for your help, the question poser will be viewing as a guest

F/Lt P J Trotman (mentioned above). Isn't he the John Trotman who wrote 'J for Johnnie....' (can't recall the full title) about his time on Wellingtons and, later, Mosquitos (with 692 Sqn)?
If so, might not Bernard Tubbs be mentioned in the book?

I don't own this space under my name. I should have leased it while I still could
A pal of mine confirms that "Tubby" does indeed feature in John Trotman's book, as his navigator. The pair enjoyed some adventures after force-landing in Belgium in a Mosquito (Tubbs baled out) in Dec 1944, before getting back to Graveley.
