Germany becomes first government customer for ACJ350

The German government has placed a firm order for three ACJ350-900 XWBs, becoming the first government customer for the type, which has already been ordered by private customers. The aircraft are destined for a mix of government, troop transport and medical evacuation roles. Delivery of the first aircraft is planned for 2020, and the other two in 2022.

Cabin outfitting will be facilitated by ACJ’s Easyfit cabin-outfitting concept, which features pre-installed attachments and standardized interfaces that greatly simplify installing walls and furniture in a carbonfibre fuselage..........

To be operated by the Flugbereitschaft at Koeln/Bonn, the A350XWBs will replace the 20 year old A340-300 aircraft which experienced embarrassing technical issues in recent months... Such as the emergency landing with Chancellor Merkel on her way to the G20 summit.

Meanwhile the 5 x A310, 1 x A319CJ and 1 x A321 continue to provide an excellent, reliable service.

This is the best part, LOL. The white fleet is a shame. But the Grey one is even worse.

Airbus or Jet Aviation doing the specials?

After all the incidents and accidents I would decide for Jet Av. No trust in Lufthansa Technics and Airbus.

Airbus has not repaid the $600m loan from the German government and doesn’t seem to have any intention to pay

It said it would no longer need to repay any outstanding state loans on the A380 because governments had agreed to share risk in the roughly 15-billion-euro project
