Liam Fox and the war in Libya

Explains a lot. And raises the question of what troops we had on the ground for the maps to exist.....

The Times:

”When Liam Fox gave evidence to the trade select committee this week a page in his bundle of notes with lots of red and orange lines on it aroused suspicion that progress is not going well. “Is there anything you should be telling us?” Matt Western, a Labour MP, asked.

“Yes, I am colour-blind,” the trade secretary replied. “The normal ways of coding don’t work for me.” He then explained that this was less of a problem than it had been when he was defence secretary. “During the Libyan campaign the maps were marked in red and green for our respective positions,” Fox said. “It was impossible for me to know whether we were winning or losing.”
