Christopher Ward watch 51 Sqn

I buy watches from Christoper Ward and have been sent this, it's a one off sale item:

No affiliation, just passing on in case of any interest.

...curious choice of sqn; wonder what made them pick 51.

I believe it was done for the Sqn 100th a couple of years ago, most of those who bought anniversary watches opted for the much nicer limited edition 51 Sqn Bremont instead.

Mmmm....trying to look a bit too much like a Submariner there. Bremont make very nice looking watches.

But you can't give a Bremont away..... in a humbling sort of way

I had an opportunity to buy a similar bespoke model: RAF Bomb Disposal 75th Anniversary limited edition. I didn't buy it, just too bulky for my liking. I have a 2008 Christopher Ward C5 Malvern, a gift from my daughter. The understated style of the C5 is my preference in watches but it appears CW now concentrates on larger models. The C63 Sealander is perhaps the only model I would choose.
