Fast Jet Flying Statistics

Calling all fast jet aircrew - WIWOP; WIWOB; WIWOJ; WIWOL; WIWOT and Harrier mates.

I thought it might be a good time to find out who will claim the gold medal in terms of hours and maybe a few other stats on ‘recent’ RAF fast jets.

I can only speak for the Fin so here it goes:

Tornado flying hours - 2023:20
Ratio of take-offs to landings - 1:1 (eternally grateful)
Simulator hours - more than I care to remember
AR5 drills - only 1 (thank goodness)
TACEVALs spent in a HAS - not enough (unfortunately)
Rev loft/toss at Deci - still looking for some of the bomb scores so tbd
IMC parallel track at Goose - see AR5 drills
OLF at Goose - one less than it should have been (see above)
Four-ship debrief taking longer than the sortie itself - way too many
Singleton strike, attack or recce sortie with a CR mate - too few (should have been a BTR)
Auth/DCF - no need to answer that
Plan as a four, brief as a three, walk as a pair, airborne alone and unafraid - ..........?

I am sure somebody can do better so come on share your stories!

And for those modest types among us don't forget the briefest, slowest and lowest!

Tonka. Most aircraft signed out F700 but U/S before T/O, not flown, for same singleton sortie in one day...six.

No need! Just look out for the poster with the most references to that subject in the last 2 weeks.

FWIW Parallel Track I think that this was a great idea for a thread - I’m just not going to tell you about my various airborne inadequacies because they would remove the small vestige of anonymity which I value - not that I have any reason to suspect that Pprune inhabitants know or care who I am or was...and also the whole goat incident is still a little raw.

All the best,

Orca.
