Irish Air Corps, cross border co-operation

It’s a small example of close cross border co-operation on the island. The Northern Ireland Fire Service requested assistance from the Irish Air Corps, who had been regularly carrying out similar operations over the last week or two across Ireland, to deal with a large gorse file in Co.Armagh.

Two aircraft were dispatched from Casement, an AW139 with bambi-bucket and EC135 to coordinate the drops.
