Old helmet and wrong jet?
What say you?

I guess the F-35 having only one pole means there couldn't be any banter...

It'll be about as accurate as the first one then.

No Cat, no bueno!
Wife still hate's the original as she had to see her beloved Doc Greene go splat into the canopy.

Everyone likes to pick on the USAF for its love of golf, but at least it involves hitting a small target at long range.

Meanwhile, the ground forces run marathons, possibly on the grounds that the ability to run faster and farther than your C.O. has been an essential military survival skill since Thucydides was a boy.

US Navy aviation is stuck with shirtless beach volleyball. Thanks, Jerry.

They face a helluva challenge making number two - there are so many laughable tropes.
Homoerotic beach volleyball, Iceman (who is now a fat b@stard), sunset-lit motorbike rides with Raybans sans helmet...
All I hope for is that instead of utterly ****e back projections like last time, they actually put Cruise in the air in a real SHornet and mount a few cameras on the thing to get some halfway decent airborne footage.
Oh, and FFS - don't try and pass off F-5s or some other type as MiGs this time round!
Surely the stoodio can foot the bill for a few hours with our hero in an F model driver's seat, and conjure up a few CGI J-20s, T-50s or whatever for a good old turnin' burnin' furball?
And no missiles off the rails this time... we all know real fighter pilots only use guns
That's not too much of a documentary expectation to hope for is it???
At least, credit to the man for getting rated rotary wing on the Squirrel, and learning to fly some tricky descending spiral turns with cameras attached in NZ mountains for the latest MI movie.

Do the USN have 55 year old captains flying F18s? He would certainly need o!d age and treachery to beat the young and bold.

I’m sure there is a joke in there somewhere about Kelly McGillis being involved in a blue on blue incident but I’m not brave enough to make it.

More importantly does the Shornet have any problems with its inverted flight tanks ?

Was top gun 2 not stopped by the USN at the time as the tomcat was getting phased out. And the hornet was new and still semi classified (ie its avionics) and the last thing the navy wanted was film crews climbing all over it .
So the last thing they will want is people all over a F35?
Even though it probably was the best recruitment tool for them ever.?

Info all there especially as in the early 80s she and her roommate had a house invasion and violation of both occupants...

https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000534/...k_qt_sm#quotes

As of 2009 she came out and in 2010 she had a civil ceremony whom shes been with ever since....

Career wise she does not seem to have done badly..

cheers

As a tax-payer funded recruitment video, it wasn't bad.

HMFC cetainly had a Harrier Flt Lt flying until his retirement at 55 years old, PN.
He joined us directly from that and flew the Guppy for Heavylift as a FO for a few years. I remember giving him a lift back from Akrotiri (he had a pad on Cyprus) to Brize and let him land the old Belfast there. Now WHAT was his name?
