RAF Linton on Ouse

Did my training at the above as a Royal Navy pilot. Is it still going ?

When were you there? I think I had one of the last RN courses on my flight. Mid/late 60's.

The Navy were still there when I left (ATC) in late '64.

The Navy still train here today and there are Navy pilots on the instructional side too.

The last joint FW/RW course was ours, 34, starting at Linton in summer 1968. The FW element went on to Buccaneers and other aluminium death tubes while the sensible RW ones went to jungly or pinging.

I did my training at Linton in 1959. Many moons ago.
