RN Sub Fleet - more slithering???

The 2018 edition of British Warships..... by Steve Bush has finally appeared (Navy Books having almost gone bust last year - now under new management).

He points out that the 7th planned Astute class - often described as HMS Ajax and due in 2024 - seems to be quietly disappearing off the radar.

Also some minor Minister slipped out a statement back in Nov 2017

"i am withholding information on out-of service dates (for submarines) and in-service dates as disclosure would, or would be likely to, prejudice the capability, effectiveness or security of the Armed Forces"

Given we did this for the whole of the Cold War I see this unbelievable load of tosh as "we don't want any further embarrassment"
