All this squadron numberplate arguments......did you boys not read what really happens in Lightning Boys 2?


There's a pack of cards in the MOD-the new squadron gets the next card in the pack.....


No decisions to make-no inter-service rivalry or other considerations to be taken into account. Its just the next card in line.

Why would you need two Sqns for such a small number of aircraft?

For the same reason that our ever-cretinous Sec of State keeps saying we're spending over 2% of GDP on defence. It's all about making us look more capable than we are and keeping a top-heavy command structure going, such as 2 x Gp Capt at Brize, for example........

I think the approved (and ever more monotonous) phrase is "rising defence budget and £178Bn equipment programme"........
