Wow, doesn't make for happy reading does it. I wonder what form of due diligence the MoD undertakes on such contractors' behaviour especially when it takes place on MoD land. Surely something to bear in mind at contract renewal time. Recall these guys are also at Valley.

It's disgusting really. Surely, if there is any change to a manager etc then the MOD should have been informed as it is their
contract? Unless they were kept in the dark?

If only she had joined the military, no one ever gets called names there.....
Poor behaviour nonetheless.

What a nasty little man, she may have got compensation, but she is still unemployed, and that does not compensate her in any way, shape or form. It would be justice if she set herself up in business and managed to win the contract from them.

Only 17k? Nowhere near enough.
They should have looked at how long the contract had left to run in months, then worked out the compensation sum due using the monthly salary of the other two Safeskys managers in England & Wales as the base multiplier against the number of months the contract had to go, be even better if they used the sum of both managers salary which would then go a long way to making up for the salary discrimination she had experienced over the years.

I see others are acquainted with "Dick Richard"*
Once a Dick, always a Dick, sadly. The man who refused to take a handover in a busy Approach Room because he'd been called 'Dick', and said "My name's Richard, Dick is on the other watch." I served with him on 4 separate occasions, for which I should have been awarded an MBE at least.
* A name coined by/used by the Stn Cdr at a secret Far East airfield
