Afternoon orbits by Atlas & Globemaster in Worcestershire

Why am I getting buzzed by Atlas yesterday and C17 today?

Both afternoons I have been treated to 3000 - 4000ft manouevrings overhead my house near Whitbourne on the Worcestershire Herefordshire border in the mid afternoon. Is there some sort of exercise on?

It's great to watch but it really piques my curiosity because it's two types doing nearly the same thing on two consecutive days. Just idle curiosity, a PM would be fine. There were no fastjets apparent in the area at the time.

Ta,

I believe that they were also operating over Norfolk last night around 20.00 - 21.00

Certainly an unusual and distinctive sound.

Can't get lost anymore as we don't have Navs on the AT/AAR fleet anymore...
