Fast jets over Goa and Pune

A bit spotterish I know - but just returned from India.
Fascinating to observe the pointy hardware flying around above Goa.
Landed at the airport to observe a brace of MiG-29Ks parked on the apron on the military side.
Then over the next week in South Goa (away from the Eurotrash in the North) watched as on average 3-4 times a day, various packages took off, and exercised overhead or departed at speed off shore to do who knows what.
Su-30s in Pune were also very active - including what sounded like engine run-ups and testing at night.
Observed a few Kamovs clattering around - and the highlight for no1. son was seeing a MiG gear down on approach, landing lights on etc.
Spoke to a former IAF VSO expressing surprise at frequency of sorties and he said there's heightened Pak-China tension at the moment.
Sun, sea and the sound of freedom (Saturns and Klimovs) - what more could a chap ask for?
