Travel Insurance - Service cancellation cover
After many years with MRL providing my Travel Insurance, including cover for cancellation for Service reasons MRL have told me that they can no longer offer cancellation for Service reasons. The reason given is that they have new underwriters based in Houston. As you can guess MRL have just lost my business.
Anybody know of a company that will still provide this cover please?

I'm with Trinity http://www.trinity-ins.com/home/
Can't tell you how good/bad they are because I've not yet had to make a claim.

There used to be a Military Insurance Advisory service which was supposed to stop Service folk being discriminated against due to their self-less sacrifices for the nation ( ). It was set-up when Blair and co were trying to show how much they loved us all (some would say by sending us to clear up their policy faux-pas....) - link = https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rc...VvcVbEQr_J-z4Q
Supposedly all their members will cover you. I used one for a wedding insurance policy (didn't work, still had to get married..boom - thank you, I'm here all week).

The only caveat is that you require a quote from NAAFI insurance for your cancelled holiday, this is then subtracted from your reimbursement.
This was true a couple of years ago so check first, just in case.
I am retired so no longer affects me, but run that past us again, if your holiday is cancelled for Service reasons they deduct from your reimbursement the cost of the insurance premium............that you don't need. I am baffled..........and I used to run Handbrake House on my last unit

I don't own this space under my name. I should have leased it while I still could
I used Trinity for many years until I hit 70. It was far cheaper than almost all other companies and we claimed once when unfit to travel. They reimbursed the holiday cost but not the associated car park charge. They demanded copies of all original invoices etc.
Ensure the level of cover is sufficient.

Blue, can't get to PM. I use Leisure Guard, and for my 92 year old MiL, Good to Go.
Will try and send more details when I get home as I am currently on a cruise.

Coff, we are now back home but may I say it was more stable than the Mess bar on a Friday night and the food at least on a par with a Summer Ball but less crowded
