She has never let the country down in all her years of tedious 'meeting the people' appearances she has made. Just wish she would wear a hard hat when riding!
Her daughter is made of the same stuff unlike the other heirs she produced!

First saw her when she visited Dumbarton in Coronation year and I waved my little flag with all my 6 year old classmates. Delighted to be wishing her a Happy Birthday 63 years later.

Never really put a foot wrong in those 90 years either!
Although these days eyebrows might be raised at a 13 year old girl corresponding with an 18 yo naval officer ..........
My Mother's birthday was Coronation Day - June 2nd. She would have been 104 this year - I guess some make that age; but Ma didn't
But the Mother we all share is 90 today and still works so hard.
Gawd Bless 'Er!!
