TTN ...
. Yes, I've got the picture now. It was one of those PUTI moments - sorry, folks.
No existing medals worn when new ones are being dished out
When I was on 214 in the early 70's I had a single GSM (South Arabia) from my time in the regiment. Most blokes (including the boss) had nothing, and on "Number One" occasions people would sometimes ask me what the medal was for. Bit of a contrast with my son who came out of the army a couple of years ago with a group of seven medals, which as he said was nothing exceptional.

Seeing anyone without any ribbons who has served 10 to 15 years was rare when I left in 2009. I only got four in my time and taking off the long gong and Golden give away, got two ops medals. Many mates had a lot more.

Alber Ratman Ha ... 30 years and all I have to show is an AOC Air Cadets Commendation from before that started!
But I digress ...
But I digress ...
Well the Staish is wearing his No: 1 - good on yu Martin.
I've seen awards being presented with the Staish or whoever wearing a grow bag. Just shows a lack of respect as far as I'm concerned.
Old Duffer
