Lincoln

For weeks now, every day and all day, including weekends, there has been a Hercules circling Lincoln at 20000 feet. Couple of days ago it was a Defender. Anyone able to say why?

Yes. Have you signed the Official Secrets Act?

Certainly have, several times, although some time ago now, so I'm probably unsafe now.

Yes, out of date now though. However, it does not stop the constant droning noise for hours on end. It was a Herc last week, six hours every day it's a real PITA. It has not just started either, it's been going on for months and months. The Defender not to bad but it can still get on your nerves. The Herc was up again today for about three hours;( just under seven hours yesterday) flying just below the cloudbase it drives my neighbour mad. If anyone wants to see the flight pattern have a look on ADS-B Exchange. I'm sure the aircrew must inwardly groan when they pick up that detail, round in circles for hours. Rant over.

Probably something to do with the closure of the Greggs bakery in Sleaford?

bee fix: it used to be known as 'the sound of freedom'. They're training for ops.

The only person who has signed the Official Secrets Act is Betty Windsor. The rest of us sign a bit of paper to confirm that we understand what the Act says.
