Syrian Use of WMD and Obama's Red Line

SecDef's....Gates, Panetta, and Hagel all report meddling by the Obama White House in US DOD Operations and Policy Decisions.

When Obama drew the infamous Red Line in front of Assad in Syria re his use of WMD, the US Military was positioned, prepared, and ready to react.

Assad did the dirty deed and Obama balked.

The end result has not been pretty.

How will Obama be judged for his lack of action?

"How will Obama be judged for his lack of action?"

Judged by who? By the same "informed" public that puts Trump at the top of the polls? Bush was unpopular because he Did something. Obama because he Didn't do anything. Now we have the vision of someone like Trump or Clinton who only know how to tickle peoples ears, saying what they seem to want to hear. We can only imagine how Putin judges Obama, after all he praises Trump.

Did he? Was there ever any concrete proof that it wasn't another group trying to lure the West into action?

Exactly!
And the bluff was called.

There was going to be (yet another) Arab sh1tfight anyway - why be in a hurry to get involved in it?

That was RT mischief making and the die-hard conspiracy people ran with it even to the extend of claiming that actors were used. The BBC responded to the claims.

The BBC did a follow up piece on the casualties.

A very astute and valuable contribution to the discussion.
