Military Aviation A forum for the professionals who fly military hardware. Also for the backroom boys and girls who support the flying and maintain the equipment, and without whom nothing would ever leave the ground. All armies, navies and air forces of the world equally welcome here.

I like him, and I admire the fact he's being paid to do his hobby.

I find him a bit too full on sometimes, I hope he doesn't become a parody of himself or over exposed. If the programme wasn't so much about him and the Vulcan, I would have watched it. One which revolved around the ground crew would have got me watching, there's only so much boyish air gulping exuberance I can tolerate alas.

Still, the majority of the rest are much, much worse! Maybe I'm too cynical.

The programmes he presents nowadays seem to be drifting away from his area of expertise. In a year or two I suspect we'll have "Our Guy at London fashion week" where our plucky and amiable host has a go at dressmaking and a bit of catwalk modelling..."bye ekk"

I reckon he does very well for someone with Aspergers, which explains his manner of speech and, if you watch, his gait. BTW, I come from a long line of eee bah gums!

The Guy Martin walk...

....i think it was much more noticeable in the Latvia film as there were lots of shots of him walking along roads and tracks. I'd guess that gait is more down to his several serious m/c accidents with multiple broken bones than anything else.

This film, available in its entirety on YT has a lot of footage of the pre-celeb GM and is in any case an excellent representation of the TT overall.
