There were 16 other countries involved with these 'Military Games' whereas the 'Ancient Olympic Games' were only open to freeborn Greeks; and the initial 'Modern Olympic Games' of 1896 involved only 14 nations.


Perhaps the Russians are on to something, wouldn't it be good if we could settle all wars by this method of competition?
