Hermes/Viraat to become a museum

I thought this might be of interest to any Falkland veterans on the forum. Given what happened to Invincible, it's good to see the Indians at least preserving some of Corporate's history....

Well done India.

In an ideal world it would be fabulous if she could come back to Pompey and the historic dock yard..just like an British version of intrepid. Even more meaningful as Hermes biggest triumph involved both FAA and RAF

We have no big ships post ww2 and this would have been a tremendous exhibit. and counterpoint to the two new carriers ... but I guess a bigger maintainance headache for the trust.
