175 course Acklington

174 course graduated in May 1965 and have just had a most effective reunion. Any interest in a similar course reunion for 175 course?
Most of the station is long gone but the local pubs are still in business

I was a Met. forecaster attached at Acklington in that period, under the Geordie Boss ? Stewart. Not the posting of my dreams.
The Office was with ATC. No running water, no WCs as I recall.
Drinking water was delivered in urns.

But what were the Courses FOR? I ask myself? Was it Pilots and JPs?

Sad to forget, but I will never forget the cold!

I was on 171 - graduated August '64. Langleybaston - 6 FTS was for pilots on JP 3s and 4s. Happy memories of 'The Bottles' and Alnwick Teachers Training College!

Onwards to Oakers

I left Ackers in July 65 then straight to Oakers for the Varsity course then Victors. Northumberland now in retirement but much of the old place remains. The pubs are mainly as was but the Rumbling Tum in Morpeth is long gone

If there is a feeling for a 175 course reunioun in July there is plently of scope for an enjoyable epic
