Jungle Green:Borneo
Whilst trying to avoid the election and Royal baby packed TV news last night I stumbled upon the above titled documentary on the BBC iPlayer. Recorded in 1964 it followed a small unit of Royal Marines patrolling the jungle. A significant feature of this programme being resupply by RN Whirlwind and also footage of an RAF Hastings, a line of Belvederes and a very interesting shot of a Javelin. Recommended for those looking for a trip down memory lane whilst avoiding the talking heads of the political class!

110 Squadron Borneo
Thanks to 163627 for pointing out the Jungle Green documentary, which is absolutely fascinating. I think, though, that the Whirlwind is an HAR 10 of 110 or 103 Squadron and not a Navy machine. B Flight of 110 became 103 Squadron in 1963 and both operated in Borneo in support of the operations there until the end of Confrontation. A superb reminder of how we were 50 years ago.
