SAR helo on Pen-y-fan Wed 22 April

A big thanks to the crew flying the Seaking today at around 1145 while they were exercising on the Pen-y-fan area. Not only was it fascinating to watch you practise (I hope!) a rescue, but it was great to see you doing a few circuits round the mountains too.

As a solo walker slogging up the hills I very much appreciated what felt like a private air display to take my mind off the pain!

I have a few fairly average iPhone photos of both the practise winching and of the cab stooging around past Pen-y-fan summit on what was a glorious and completely clear spring day. I'd be delighted to email copies to any of the crew onboard if they'd like them - just PM me and I'll send via DII.

Cheers,

Jim
