Thieving Scum Rob Wickenby War Memorial

It seems some scumbags have stolen the brass badges from the memorial of former RAF Wickenby near Lincoln.

If anyone sees or knows anything then call the Police straight away...

This is what it should look like...

I hope they get what they deserve - a loss of their liberties...

Apparently a bronze statue erected in memory of the murdered schoolgirl Sara Payne has been stolen from her primary school.
I wish I could still be surprised by the lack morals in these thieves.

Hope they are found and the miscreants dealt with. They are beneath contempt, IMHO anyway

It's been found, sat up against a property and undamaged, one thinks the thieves must have realised when it was spread across the news what it was and how unsellable it suddenly become and how the public outcry if they were caught would no doubt increase their sentence.

Stolen RAF Wickenby WW2 memorial plaques returned:

BTW, despite the BBC saying it is a museum, Wickenby is still a friendly active airfield.

Just as well. I only looked at the thread to find out who Rob Wickenby was.

My guess is that they tried to sell them to a scrap dealer, who quite rightly refused, and possibly threatened to report them to the police if they didn't give them back.

I tend to agree. Too hot to handle.

With a very good museum...

Totally OT but another airfield with an excellent museum that no one seems to know about is Sleap over by Shawbury.

Glad to see that the issue has been resolved at Wickenby.
