lauriebee, as you will be able to see, my photos have disappeared. I have reposted them a few times and, on every occasion, the photos show for a few hours and then disappear. My guess is that the google drive links have some sort of time expiry on them but I have failed to find how to remedy this. I have taken your suggestion and opened a Flickr account but the URL links from this will not even show once - the files are all set for public access. How do you insert your photos from Flickr into pprune?

Hi Bratman. I can still see your photos and, if I refresh the screen, they still show up.
There is a good tutorial on posting images from Flickr on the link below. The methodology described there is the same for posting images to PPRUNE and is covered in the last two posts on the link that deal with the revised Flickr layout.
One point to remember, the max image size on PPRUNE is 800 pix. That size can be selected from the menus on Flickr.
Hope that helps.
Now the link:

Many thanks, Lauriebe. I got really frustrated last night and opened an account on photobucket to see if that made anything any better. I edited my posts and inserted the photos from Photobucket and they seem to have lasted so far. However, if possible, I would like to use Flickr so thanks for that link, which I will have a good look at.
