Urgent Help Needed - RAF Video

Hi,

I'm attending a foreign Staff College Navy/Army/Air Capability Study week. On Monday we got briefed to death about Land capabilities and shown very bombastic videos of SF rappelling on to mountain tops, designating dynamic targets, etc. Today we watched films of frigates battling enormous seas, marines rappelling on to Somali pirate ships (as if?), etc. The competitive theme is 'we are f*cking nails!'. Which was fine, until this afternoon, I was asked to source a suitable gritty air power video for....tomorrow (Thursday)!

Speaking to some of the other light blue visiting, we thought that a video that is a cross between Top Gun/Come Fly with Me/Get some In, might lighten the atmosphere; in other words, not to take this too seriously. I've had a look on You-Tube - but haven't found anything that suitable (some of the Top Gun, err, analyses, are a bit suspect...). Can PPruners help me out with a suitable link for use in an Islamic country?

Have you considered the Kiwi Air Force 'Jet Pilot' video?

You'll need to edit one shot at 1:48, there are other versions on Youtube without this shot.

HD

It is possible to reconstruct the fight from the audio - I've done it for a Cadet lecture.

My dastardly work computer won't allow me onto YouTube but try googling 'RNZAF I'm a jet pilot' and I think you'll find something.

Fox 3 - thanks! It show's how much more fun the Air Force is. I just need to reinforce it with a post mission shot of crews lounging around the pool!

My daughter was in your boat about 4years ago. I got her permission to use on of the highly professional films made at the Mach Loop. It was to music and had wonderful stop vid close up; huge impact.

Only snag, it featured loads of obsolete aircraft like Harrier, Jaguar etc.

Might be worth a message to TEEJ.

Whenurhappy - Welcome.

The genuine audio for the 67th TFS is useful as:
It's nothing like the movies
You can't afford to waste a single word
It makes the point that if you can't follow it...that's why you can't fly fighters you groundpounder/fishhead. It's f-ing difficult!

Some nice shots here, wazzing Mount Alice upside down at 100 ft agl-ish, extreme ironing at 2:31 and the Xbox joke at 3:12. There's a longer 1435 Flight vid also

Mach Loop

Top geezer and his vids make the hairs on the back of the neck stand up.

I like Nutloose's Tornado video, I thought the bloke in the back handed out the sandwiches I didn't realise he looked out the window.

Wow - thanks for the results chaps. I have some great material here to splice together. I think the Air Force colleagues will appreciate it...but it will reinforce the easy life that the Land and Maritime think the Air Force have.

Another G&T anyone? Oh, we've run out. Waiter, I say, waiter!

Pity I couldn't show this one...
