BOB... her final journey

She is moving the the next couple of months, you can track their progress here.

https://www.facebook.com/XR808

After months of deliberation, GJD Services has been awarded the contract to disassemble, move by road, and reassemble the Royal Air Force VC10 Cmk1 K XR808, or BOB as she is known to RAF Museum Cosford from her last landing site at Bruntingthorpe. The posts and pictures that follow will show you how we are going to do it!

Though like the Herc, sitting outside won't do her the world of good in the long term.

Just glad to see that one is being saved and not before time. Even if the long term future for it is not bright saving it for some time is better than none.

Nothing in Cosford's hands can be regarded as "saved".
