Wine scandal involving Patrouille Suisse

Maybe the Swiss do use their wine, but for the same purpose the Austrians did. As de-icing fluid.

I could have offered them a good deal on some really good French wine.

I still remember that little deal with the Austrians putting deicing fluid in their wine as well.

Back to Swiss jets, I have always found their aircraft to be maintained to almost insanely high standards of both function and appearance. Some of their Venoms still looked like new when they sold them to civvies a few years ago, and the Venom was essentially a throw away fighter, or at least the RAF thought so

speaking of which, saw a rather decrepit Vampire sitting out at Lodrino aerodrome in Switz this past May- it shows up on Bingmaps and Google at 46 17 34 N, 8 59 42E. there's a display aircraft on a plinth same aerodrome, 22"N, 33"E.
