A bit of a sleeper show, big World War 2 battle re-enactment spread over a field or more, and you can see the likes of Hurricanes up close and operating off grass.. really is a good day out and supports Help for Heroes..

Just thought i'd give you a heads up

Is this like the 'War and Peace Show', where an unrealistically (and uncomfortably) large amount of the Axis re-enactors seem to favour dressing up in SS uniforms of various types?

Never fear we always win... there are a lot including SS and Panzer grenadiers, Brits, Americans, Japanese and Australians etc, its probably a similar show with trenches dug that you can go round and view the weaponary and people as they would be during the war, there was a demo of WW2 RAF dingies etc in a pond the other year but I never found it. It's a farmer that runs this on his farm for charities including the local Hospice and hence the plug.

I tell you, I wouldn't have like to did this trench, sorry the picture is a bit big.

NL - thanks, and I was not far from Leicester this weekend, but for some reason your initial post only appeared on the forum on my laptop this afternoon - odd.
