RAF C130 operations into Port Stanley June-August 82

Hi guys

An appeal for anyone involved in the Hercs operating in the initial phase between Ascension Island and Port Stanley. I am researching some things, and need some questions answered about the operations between 24th June, when the runway reopened for the first time since the end of hostilities, and 15th August, when it closed for the work to be carried out for the F4 operations.

Just some technical queries and so on.... like how many aircraft were able to fly this route (as I guess not many had AAR back then), and which airframes were they? I guess one was XV200 - the airframe to be used on Plum Duff?

So, anyone out there that could give more information?

Thanks in advance

Andy

Andy,

Try reposting this on http://www.pprune.org/military-aviat...-hercules.html. Plenty of people who can help on there.

Best
