I believe the OP was referring to the smaller "J" cutter in the picture rather than the (confusingly) placed survival knife beside it

Often wondered why in environs where keeping a knife sharp might be hard
a scalloped edged knife isn't used as these are always sharp.

Spyderco being a good example.
