Binners, mid 80's there was a F100 in nice colours with 'Flight Systems' painted somewhere on the nose I think. Just been reminiscing with a pal and neither of us can remember what it did or who it flew for. Anyone shed any light for two old persons with synapse failure?

Tracor Flight Systems (later taken over by BAE) flew F-100F's for use by the German AF, they were based in Germany (Wittmund iirc) and did target tug work for the F-4F's. They're still there as BAE SYSTEMS, now flying A-4 Skyhawks.

Flight Systems also used the F-100 for Dart towing for the German Air Force until around 1987:

Those Tracor F100's seemed to get around. There was one in the FRA hangar at Bournemouth back in the early 80's.

Was it 1987? Super Saber was deployed for trials at Binbrook. Were they also conducting trials in 86?

Why were they flying from Binbrook then? This would have been around '86.
and an earlier ‘Century Series’ fighter, namely a Flight Systems TF-100F Super Sabre, that had been based for trials at Binbrook during the summer months.
