No loss there. About as much "Australian" in that pair, as there is Lebanese in me. And I was born here, of Anglo-Saxon parents, who both had more than 1000 yrs ancestry in England and Scotland.

There's a lot to be said for giving these "Australian" Muslims - who want to fight their much-loved Islamic wars in their parents or in their religions country - all the encouragement and assistance they need.
Then - after they've left, fought their Islamic fight, and want to return - refuse them re-entry to Australia - on the basis that they have not proved themselves to be of good enough character, to remain Australian citizens.
We already have a couple of Australian security agencies warning of the high possibility of "radicalised" Australian Muslims returning from these Islamic wars, to foment religious dissent, and possibly train up terrorists, within Australia. What more reason do we need to keep them out??

At least the TA Gov't has the balls to do it.
I'd like to know if the Kiwi went to NZ and then came to Aus and
then went over there.

(Although I consider myself an Aussie or my citizenship papers says I am !

I see the dual Kiwi / Aussie citizen was from Townsville.
I wonder if he had any association with the Army up there
or served in the RAR ?
I read something recently about a couple of Muslims who
served (not sure if in RAR), one of whom left his unit and
went AWOL.
