CWH and BBMF Lancaster display dates
The Canadian Warplane Heritage Lancaster will display with the BBMF example at these displays in August. Their tour may be extended.

It is, but late in the season there isn't a lot of shows about.
That's Durham and North Lincs

Hardly their fault.
They just miss out on Blackpool, and with the last Leuchars being last year, and no other BoB At Home days anymore, let alone up north, there's not much options.
The flyby at East Kirkby presumed to be the 25th August is the same day that the BoB Lancaster is booked for a flyby at Strubby to mark the unveiling of a new memorial to British and Commonwealth pilots killed flying from the airfield in WW2. As Strubby is very close to East Kirkby hopefuly both aircraft will flyby.
Should be a good day at Strubby with a hog roast and a special commemorative beer being brewed by the Batemans brewery.
For anyone wishing to fly in, Strubby Flying Club (Old Heliport) are handling aircraft on the day and hopefully providing transport to the event. Further details as the planning is firmed up.

True, but two airworthy examples of one four-engined WWII type is not bad going. An even greater shame IMHO is the lack of even one intact Halifax or Stirling, even in a museum (although the shabby chic Halifax at Hendon is better than nothing).

yes its a shame the RCAF Vets annual reunion is 30/31 May & 1st June, that would have been a hell of a tie up!
My biggest gripe is that the base where Mynarski flew from on his last mission, is only getting a flypast! The ONLY RCAFBC VC in WW2 - i think theyre really missing a big, probably the ONLY opportunity, to get the only 2 airworthy Lancs on the same ramp at Mynarskis' home station.
As Teesside is my local, I know they're absolutely overwhelmed with movements - not - and i'm equally as sure that plenty of time exists for an all ticket photo shoot with both lancs on the ramp at this historic WW2 base.
It would seem that money earning is top priority, understandably the CWH do need to try to recoup as much of the cost of this as possible, but if the Airport get on board - and lets face it they really desperately do need some positive publicity, this would seem to be a win win, but its all down to whether they, the CWH and BBMF agree and can play nicely together.

Errr..... Well bar the genuine one that was recovered and rebuilt and sits in the museum at Trenton, and also the Elvington one which is a composite reconstruction... that is

I can understand not knowing, there not highly publicised here there are a few wW2 British Bomber aircraft about still that should be indoors.
About 2005 , there. Are plans as in link above to recover another from the North Sea, additionally they have recovered some Hastings wings and things from a scrapyard in Malta for a rebuild, the Hastings used the Halifax wings and gear..
So a couple more are in the offing, see
