Looking for a tie for with an AE brevet

I have a friend in NZ who is looking for a tie with an AE brevet on. Does anyone know of where I could track one down for him? He is willing to purchase a second-hand one if required.

Look in the RAFA magazines. I'm sure I've seen a supplier in there who does brevet ties.

Checked with EC Snaith and the AE tie is discontinued.

RAFMuseum shop online stocks P, N, E, AG, S, B
Brigade UK has those plus O, eagles, Coastal Command.

I would suggest ebay but I can't access from work

Already had a look at e-bay - they have everything but the AE tie - perhaps it is a taste thing?

It's a banter thing. Bit like saying "I'd rather have another 100 kilos of fuel than {insert object of insult}"

I would try ebay .com (US) .ca (CANADA) and the NZ and AU versions as well. I've seen thumbnail pictures from .com and .ca that look promising.

PS. No, I do not have much better to do this morning, thankyou. (just pre-empting more banter)

I deal in military blazer badges and get all my supplies from Pakistan (as do the MOD these days). I would Google "regimental tie manufacturers Pakistan" and contact one or two of the many suppliers that come up. I'd be very surprised if one of them could not do you a one-off tie at no great cost - all they have to do is modify any of the other patterns with the single brevet. May cost you a bit more, but probably no more than a fancy outfitter in the UK would charge you.

"Uncalled for Wensleydale!"

But too easy! I didn't see a WSO/WSOp tie on e-bay either! I suppose that it is a bit like watching certain web sites on the internet.... its alright when you are actually doing it but if your friends catch you, then.......

I got one from the shop at the IWM Duxford. Give them a bell. They may still do them.
