In reference to the other thread on proposed F-28 COD, came across these from another forum and from a book on DC-9 by Terry Waddington

I don't think they would do well at Carrier Landings!

SASless - I seem to remember reading that this was a test to see how well the aircraft stood up to heavy landings, evidently non too well. What is impressive if you look frame by frame is the whip in the fuselage and the windows seemingly falling out!
