And to mark that day those of us who flew it will be congregating at Lossie in May to share a few distant memories, a Dinner Night and a few quiet beers with our ladies!

When Farnborough was issued with 3 brand new S2s (about 1975, they did a lot of airways flying in order for the navs to get practice. Apparently London Control hated them as they cruised at 550 kts and tended to overtake most airliners except of course, Tridents and VC10s.
